How the estimate works

Cross-sectional area × cut length × approximate material density × quantity. Hollow sections subtract the inside area; angles and channels use ideal sections with uniform thickness. Corner radii, tapered flanges, dimensional tolerances and cutting losses are excluded. Use the supplier’s section data for final shipping and engineering calculations.

All dimensions describe the requested section, not a list of stocked sizes. The selected catalog density is shown with your result and is approximate; the final grade and section may differ in weight.
